I'm Back!
Don't you find it hard to move from the paper based learning to the online? Well I have. I am also studying the Bachelor of Applied Management and have just completed my exam - not sure why I managed to find time for studying this instead of working on my DFLP maybe it was the mountains of paper that I had to read that were sitting in front of me, instead of in cyberspace where I'm not constantly reminded by the lack of space on my desk.......

I did find it hard back in my first online course.. but I haven't looked back since! I studied a course will traveling once! Drop off is always much higher in online learning.. there may be a day when its different - given the take up of socialising online through things like Facebook.. but by no means are the majority of NZers online yet.. maybe never.. so - especially if you are teaching professions that are not directly affected by the Internet, you need to take into account people's inexperience. But in teaching.. it could be argued that good knowledge and know how with regard to the Internet is essential! And I don't just mean email and search either... ;) but then, I'm heavily invested in the idea that teachers should know how to use the Internet as a primary tool.. not everyone agrees.. so take what I reckon with a grain of salt
ReplyDeleteHi Emma
ReplyDeleteI LOVE not having paperwork and books in the Flexible Learning course. Paper puts me off. I like reading books for pleasure and not because I have to. Piles of paper sitting around makes me shudder for some reason. It reminds me of paying the bills...
